This is just a little short thing with my thoughts on Fringe episode 1x13 :)

This is wonderful, don't you agree? It's just like a good detective movie.Collapse )

Objects in Space is one of my favourite Firefly episodes and I think it is a fitting (if early) end to the series. For the first time it takes a deep dive into Rivers psyche and gives us a better understand of a character that's always been a little diffuse. I have to admit that I didn't really like River the first time I watched Firefly, it wasn't that I disliked her, but I always felt she was a little bland and I always cared more for the other characters.

That was until Objects in Space. When I've re-watched the series later I will always find more details about River I missed the first time around and it was Objects in Space that gave me a deeper and better understanding of her. And now she is one of my favorite characters. Through this episode we gain a higher understanding of River and the things she can accomplish through a compelling mystery and one of the shows most interesting villains.

That sounds like something out of science fiction.Collapse )

This one is written for a challenge over at scifiland, and it's a list (with reasons) on my 10 favorite sci-fi sidekicks and anti-heroes. They are in no particiluar order, as they are all equally awesome! And I have had both a Doctor Who and Firefly re-watch lately and the list might reflect that.

It may contain small spoilers for Doctor Who, Fringe, Firefly, Buffy, Angel, Dollhouse and Alice (2009). But they are easy to scroll past ^^

look here now! Please?Collapse )

So what do you think?

Season 3 - The actors

I have to admit that while I love the 1st and 2nd season of The Big Bang Theory, the last season fell short for me. The plot and storylines doesn't seem well thought out and are at times just cheap tricks on behalf of the characters and their development. I wonder if this is because the creator know they are safe for another season and therefore feels it's safe to slack of, or if the show is running out of ideas. I don't think it should, the premise and characters have much more to play with and I think they could do better. But that's just me though. And as I talked about here, I think they are relying to much on Jim Parson's comical talent (not necessary a bad thing), but I'm not going to talk more about that here, since I just discussed it :)

But enough about that. In this entry I'll focus on a element in the third season that shines on, even if they are given material that aren't as good as we could hope - The five main actors and the way they play their characters.

More about the actors/characters with examples and personal thoughts after the cut.Collapse )

3x13 - the Bozeman Reaction

The Bozeman Reaction is a mixed episode. It has parts I really love and some parts that aren't that good. It shows both what I consider the best parts of season 3 (the acting and timing) and the worst parts (the writing that disregards character development and the laugh track). It also has, like many other season 3 episodes, a clear focus on Sheldon, which I find both positive and negative. Therefor I feel it's an interesting episode to take a closer look at. I will be back in a later entry with a more throughout look on season 3 and it's actors.

More on this after the jump ^^

Jayne was my favourite character on Firefly from the beginning of this show. I mean they are all great, and Firefly is a show were I like all of them, but Jayne was my first favourite :) And Jaynestown is a wonderful Jayne episode and that puts it on my 'top 5 favourite Firefly episodes' list.

More on that and the awesomeness that is Jaynestown after the jump!

Hey! I'm Cek, a new poster here. This is my suggestion & request & fandom post.
Included are all the shows I've watched / watch currently. At the moment, I think it will be mostly episode/season reviews with a few rants about what a show is doing right/wrong.

I do also want to say that I don't live in the US/Canada/UK so I am about half a season behind & it isn't always easy for me to download, so don't expect episode reviews until about a month after it's aired.

Under the cut is my nice, scarily long, list of fandoms. This list will be growing by at least one this fall - and maybe sooner if the new TNT shows are any good - so keep your eyes peeled.

If there's anything you particularly want me to write about, drop a comment and I'll see what I can do. Since I have so many shows with overlapping time slots, I'm behind on a lot of them, so if you have a request relating to a specific episode, it may take me a bit to get to it.

I'm planning to do plenty of episode reviews as I get caught up, but if you want to hear my thoughts on x ship, or how I feel about y show being cancelled, or just my thoughts on a show in general, let me know.

"Arrivederci, Fiero" is HIMYM on it's best. I love to get back story and character development in a show that does focus a lot on comic relief. I've also been doing my exams and been listening to the Proclaimers, so that's why I wanted to write something about this episode!

More about that, and some gift-goodies after the jump!

Marshall's going to kill me! This and the difference between affect and effect are the only two things he's serious about.Collapse )
